1) Do I need any website design experience to create my wedding site?
Absolutley none. Our easy to use site design environment allows you choose your desired theme from a selection of templates. This database of templates is frequently added to, so you can re-visit as often as you like and change your theme as often as you like.
Our design environment allows and enables you to easily create new pages, and delete and edit existing pages as often as you wish.
2) There are loads of sites offering free wedding websites, why should I pay for one?
We have yet to find a provider that actually provides a free wedding "website". What they actually offer is free web pages on their website. It is possible to get a wedding website page or pages free but there is always a catch or in most cases several catches, and remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Some are free for a short period of time, usually until you have completed your site. Others are free of charge but bombarde you and your guests with unwanted advertising, which usually results in visitors not returning to your webpage(s). With free pages you will not get your own unique domain name e.g. www.johnandmary.com - the domain name you receive will usually be an extension of the websites domain name e.g. www.myweddingsite.ie/johnandmary, making it a liitle more difficult for visitors to find and visit your site. Free web pages , in most cases, will not have customer support to help you with the creation and maintenance of your page(s). Some will also sell your contact details to third parties. Finally, most free web pages, will look like that i.e. free.
3) I don't have a credit card or a debit card (Laser), can I still make a payment and register as a user?
Yes. There are several other payment options detailed below.
- You may pay by using a 3V voucher. 3V Vouchers are disposable prepaid VISA numbers that can be used to shop online. They can be purchased by everyone aged 16 or over who has the use of a mobile phone and an email address. They allow you to shop safely and more securely without needing a credit or debit card or even a bank account. 3V Vouchers are printed onto a paper receipt and are as easy to buy as mobile phone top ups. - You may pay by cheque, bank draft or postal order. Simply make your payment payable to Web Things, and send by post to Web Things, Oakwood, Clonee Lower, Camolin, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.
4) How often can I change my site theme?
As often as you wish to - just enter the design environment area.
5) How often can I edit or add to my site content?
As often as you wish to - just enter the design environment area.
6) Will there be advertisements or pop-ups on my website?
Absolutely not - unless you put them there.
7) How much will my site cost me?
In total, no hidden extras, your site will cost you €75.00 (Including V.A.T.)
8) How long will my website remain active?
Your website will remain active for exactly one year from the date you subscribe.
9) What happens to my website after 1 year?
One month before your websites expiry date you will be informed by email. At this stage you will be given the renewal options available to you or the option for the site to be deleted. Your decision will be confirmed to you by email.
10) Before my website is deleted can I get a copy of it as a keep sake?
Yes. For an additional cost of just €50.00 (Including V.A.T.), we will send you your website in DVD format.
